Bringing outstanding, on-stage entertainment to the Mid-Columbia area since 1937
ABOUT MCCCA
The Mid-Columbia Community Concert Association (MCCCA) is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization which has brought outstanding, on-stage entertainment to the Mid-Columbia area since the 1930’s. MCCCA is one of approximately 400 other community concert associations in the country. Our mission is two-fold: to bring artists and audiences together at affordable prices and to provide educational outreach programs to students in the five counties we serve. We also provide outreach performances to local senior facilities.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
With help from our Crescendo patrons, Mid-Columbia Community Concert Association's student outreach program brings live, interactive musical performances to engage, enrich, educate, and inspire K-12 students in the Columbia Gorge area. Students are exposed to a variety of musical genres, instruments, and cultures and have the opportunity to ask questions of the artists during the assemblies.

With the support of our generous donors, we were able to host educational outreach events with 5 out of 6 artists last season. For the 2024-25 season, we will host four live outreach events around the surrounding area. We also invite area schools to bring students for our evening shows.
Locarno visited Colonel Wright Elementary School in October 2023. The students and staff were on their feet dancing along the whole time. They even had the chance to sample the instruments themselves!
Mike Strickland and Elizabeth hosted an outreach at The Dalles High School in November 2023. This gave us an opportunity to pull in students from all over the community who may not be able to experience this genre of music. They also discussed music careers and education after high school.
in March 2024, we took Nic + Desi to entertain those in our community who don't have the opportunity to attend a live show. The audience absolutely loved them!
VOLUNTEERS
MCCCA's board members plus volunteers work tirelessly to present quality live entertainment. They assist at concerts and behind the scenes throughout the year. They handle everything from subscriptions, bookings, marketing, advertising, operations, hospitality, and much more. It would not be possible to keep ticket prices so affordable without our team of dedicated volunteers.
